A Button Lost Near the Brandenburg Gate – Berlin, 1932

Well, I must say, Berlin is proving to be a rather… *interesting* stop on my little adventure. One can’t help but be drawn in by the city’s grand architecture and vibrant atmosphere, but today, near the Brandenburg Gate, the air felt thick with something altogether different. A parade, you see, of uniformed men marched past, their expressions rather… serious.

It’s difficult to describe, but there was a tension, a sort of grim determination in their faces that left me feeling rather uneasy. One hopes it’s just a passing phase, this… *fervour*. The city is undoubtedly beautiful, though – a fascinating blend of old and new. The Brandenburg Gate itself is quite a sight! A truly magnificent structure. Though I must say, the stern faces rather spoiled the view. Feeling a bit concerned about the general atmosphere here.

As I turned to make my way back to the hotel, I realized I’d lost a button off my coat. Must have snagged it on something. Dashed inconvenient, that. Now I’m on the hunt for a decent tailor. Any recommendations, dear readers, would be most welcome!

Despite the unsettling experience, I remain optimistic. This journey is all about discovery, after all, and even the less pleasant encounters offer valuable lessons. Onwards to the next adventure, wherever it may lead! Just hoping to find a tailor first here in Berlin.
