These performers were absolutely KILLING it. Seriously, the athleticism and artistry were mind-blowing. You could feel the history in every move – a dance born from resistance, a fusion of cultures, all happening right in front of me. The poverty is real here, but so is the joy. The contrast is intense, but the vibe is undeniably vibrant. It’s like the spirit of Brazil is woven into every single jump, kick, and spin. Total awe moment!
Speaking of moments, Tom (ever the gentleman) was mopping his brow when he straight-up LOST a coin! Dude’s lucky I was paying attention, LOL. I snagged it – this tiny Brazilian coin, all worn and glinting in the sun. Check out the detail of the coat of arms, it’s crazy. I’m adding it to my collection!
